L’enceinte\u00a0fortifi\u00e9e, le logis et ses charpentes, la chambre et ses peintures murales, la cuisine et le\u00a0cellier, les salles de tir et leurs imposantes vo\u00fbtes d’ogives, une partie du chemin de ronde\u2026\u00a0ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s sous les yeux de milliers de visiteurs venus visiter ce chantier unique au monde.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the heart of France, in northern Burgundy, a team of fifty master-builders have taken on an extraordinary challenge: building a castle using medieval techniques and materials.<\/h3>\n

In a once disused quarry, surrounded by woodland and all the natural materials required for the construction – stone, wood, earth, sand, clay \u2013 day after day, in the presence of thousands of visitors, the quarrymen, stonemasons, woodcutters, carpenter-joiners, blacksmiths, tile makers, carters and rope makers are building a castle from scratch.<\/p>\n

Inspired by the past, this building site is also of great relevance to the 21st century.<\/p>\n
